Privacy

Outer Planet Labs privacy policy is simple - we collect no user data. In Apps we release under our own brand, for direct consumer use, we do not include any analytics, and we do not persist any user data on any supporting servers we control (we don't track users even anonymously, and we don't manage or collect any user data of any sort).

However, please note that we are now introducing some Apps which can interact with third-party machine learning models, for example, to offer chatbot capabilities. To support such interaction, we do allow you to share what information you wish, through our servers, with such ML models. Outer Planet Labs will not capture the information you choose to share, but we also encourage you to refrain from sharing any information you would wish to keep private. We cannot prevent you from "over-sharing", but our Apps, and any services they may depend upon, place no requirements on you to share personal information in order to gain value from them.

Also, please note that our Apps may in some cases support users placing data in their own personal Apple iCloud accounts. And we might also introduce Apps which allow users to share data via public iCloud containers. But if we did this - if we were to introduce support for sharing via public iCloud containers - this would only be something you enable through your own explicit choice.
